PHOTO & FILM: dog portraits

Liz reached out to us when Moxie was 5 months old. Goals: Liz wanted to know how to handle a large dog while building and maintaining a safe and loving bond and managing the natural tendency of a shepherd to defend its pack. Outcome: Moxie is a “gentle giant” with a family and mom who know how to handle her.

Mork is a rescue Pit mix. He would 'bellow' and bark operatically near other dogs on leash, wanting to protect and defend. Goals: how to handle a large, strong dog as a petite person (Caroline) despite a 'loving' doggie personality at home. We worked very hard on consistency and communication for everyone. Eric and Caroline have become consistent leaders with a wonderful, obedient dog who knows his place in his pack!

Zina & Zorro live in a 6-person family. Goals: Off-leash training, managing Zina's energy and natural prey drive. Outcome: We taught everyone in the family how to successfully implement obedience and lead

Nava was a rescue with fear-biting issues. Goals: Build the confidence of Nava as well as the “humans” in the family and eliminate lunging/growling/biting on-leash. Outcome: Nava is now the best she could be. She is willing to follow her leaders and trust that they will take charge. Without worrying about damage to wildlife and humans, Rick jogs with her in the Grand Forest and the family even walk together at the Farmer's Market.

Tula was a rescue. When we first met her she was cowering in the corner of the house. Outcome: Liz built up her confidence through the full off-leash obedience training and leadership.

Otis is a mixed Mastiff in a home with young children. Goals: Confidence in walking & handling, as well as assuring the 'smaller' peoples safety and enjoyment of their “giant.”
